Joanna Kalkstein is an entrepreneur, leadership trainer and training designer. She shares her life between Poland and Australia. Having arrived in Sydney in 1981 as a non-English speaking political refugee, Joanna worked her way up from mopping floors at KFC to advising top executives on corporate culture and human potential development. She is committed to creating happier, healthier and more innovative organisations.

Joanna completed a degree in Commerce at the University of Western Sydney and worked as a consultant for the Australian division of TACK International. In 1992 she established in Poland her own company – Kalkstein Training – a division of TACK International. This corporate development focused business grew rapidly exceeding 1M GBP/pa turnover in the first 3 years. The Clients included ABB, Citibank, Coca Cola, CPC, DHL, Deutsche Bank, DuPont, IBM, Microsoft, Philip Morris, Pepsi-Co, St Gobain, Shell, Unilever and Volkswagen Bank. 25 years later The Kalkstein company is still among the most credible corporate training providers in Poland. In 2004 Joanna was the co-founder and the first vice-President of the National Chamber for Training Industry in Poland. In 2017 she inaugurated the Agility by Design Project – Business Educators for Educating Children in Africa.
